Chicago Freedom School supports young people to take action for justice in their personal lives and communities. Our Youth Organizers partner with youth leaders across the city to address some of the most pressing issues facing Black and Brown communities.
Youth Organizing
CFS supports young people in reimagining safety through campaigns rooted in care and transformative justice. Through political education and retreats, youth build skills to advocate for community-based solutions.
Our work draws from the pedagogy of movement leaders such as Ella Baker and organizations like the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), focusing on bottom-up leadership that centers young people most impacted by injustice to define freedom for themselves and lead the work to achieve it.
